What gear do you use?

The first slr I ever used was some kind of canon rebel film camera. From that I moved onto a Nikon Coolpix (because I didn't know dslrs were a thing).

First dslr: Canon Rebel XS w/ 18-55mm

Current dslr: Canon 5D Mark II w/16-35mm f/2.8 L series lens (SO sharp and amazing :D ) & 85mm lens

Accessories:
manfrotto 190XPROB tripod with a standard ball head on it.
Canon 430EXII speedlite
Reflectors
Radio Triggers for flash

I had a cable shutter release, but I destroyed it in the laundry, oops...

How about you guys? What are you shooting with? Out of your gear, what's your favorite accessory/lens/camera/etc.?

Oh yay, I get to feel bad about all the shit I no longer have!

First DSLR: Nikon D5000
Old Nikon lenses: nikon nippon kogaku 50mm f1.4, Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR, Nikkor 50mm f1.8, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8
Nikkor 70-300 f4.5-5.6G
Current DSLR and lens: Canon 5D Mark II with Canon 50mm f1.4
Now'days I just rent lenses as I need them.

Accessories:
Nikon SB600 Speedlight
One 5 sided reflector
2 Pocket Wizard IIIs

old acessories:
Various paper backdrops
Softboxes of various sizes
Beauty Dishes :( :( :( I miss them
Various self-made acessories like
Lens Filters
Reflectors
Lights
Light Stands
Studio Stands made from PVC piping
I kind of made most of my old gear which is why it wasn't consequential to get rid of most of it. My first studio was actually constructed from paper, tape, and plywood. The rest of it was lost from the various times I had to move in the past couple years. Losing my beauty dish was my biggest regret. :(

Aw, we're camera buddies! Nice gear list. Just out of curiosity, where do you rent your lenses from?

The only filters I have are UV filters on my lenses and then a crappy plastic CPL for my 85mm. It gets the job done though. I'm thinking about investing in some nice glass ND and CPL filters for both my lenses though.

I rent from borrowlenses.com. It's made my life easier! Their rates aren't that terrible either.

Awesome, I'm going to look into that. I'm kinda stuck financially with the lenses I have currently lol. Would come in handy also to test lenses out before buying. Thanks!
